LAST NIGHT, THE National Television Awards took place in London, with Gogglebox and Sir David Attenborough scooping big prizes for their work over the past year.
It was a very good night for Ant and Dec, who took home not one but three awards including the Best Presenter prize, which they’ve won for a whopping 17 years in a row.
You’d think the shine would have gone off it after all this time, but they were especially grateful for this one.
In 2017, Ant had a highly-publicised battle with prescription drug addiction, followed by the breakdown of his marriage to Lisa Armstrong, his wife of 11 years.

A visibly emotional Ant referenced these struggles as he accepted the award with Dec, saying:
I’m shaking… It’s been a very emotional night tonight. It’s been quite a year, quite a tough 12 months, so winning tonight really means a lot. Thank you for all your support, it really means the world to me. It’s helped me get through.
“And thanks to you little guy,” he said, turning to Dec. “I love you man. Best not cry.”
Whoever’s chopping onions in here better stop. Maybe when they win it 20 times they can call it the Ant and Dec Award?
